CITY OF EL PASO OPERATIONAL HOURS:
Mon-Thurs, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Closed Fridays
Over the past few years, the El Paso Police Department has been a national leader and innovator by embracing the concepts and practices of Community Based Policing. Community Based Policing is all about the police actively working with the community to prevent crime and create a safer environment.
One of our best strategies for getting closer to the community is by "decentralizing" our administration and operations. This helps us provide personalized police service to the community at the grass-roots level. Our police officers get to know their local area well and develop close consultation with the community in which they work. People can approach their police and raise any concerns about problems in their neighborhood and assist police with information about crime.
If you would like to get to know the police serving your area of the community, please feel free to contact one of our Regional Command Centers.
