The Citizens Advisory Board, commonly referred to as the C.A.B., acts in partnership with the community and the Regional Command Center, providing a communication link to relay the needs relative to the citizens concerns and to provide feedback to the community regarding the Regional Command Center's operations. The Citizens Advisory board consists of twenty members from the community that are appointed by the commander. Monthly meeting are normally held at the Regional Command Center one night a month. The meetings are scheduled for one hour. These meetings are open to the public. The Citizens Advisory Board coordinates with other governmental agencies, community organizations and service providers to resolve the community concerns. The Citizens Advisory Board also provides information to the community as to the role and the operations of the El Paso Police Department.
