Notice of Introduction

Pursuant to Section 3.9A of the El Paso City Charter, the following Ordinances were properly introduced at a Regular Council Meeting on OCTOBER 28, 2014:
 

  1. An Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 017678 dated November 29, 2011 which granted a Special Privilege License to J.D. Abrams, LP for the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of a 380 linear foot subsurface HMAC TY C Temporary Water Line within portions of City right-of-way beneath Flower Drive between Francis Street and Modesto Gomez Park and a portion of Modesto Gomez Park and between Flower Drive and Highway Loop 375 (Cesar Chavez Highway) for a term of five years with one renewable five year term, thereby terminating the Special Privilege License.
 
  1. An Ordinance vacating a 0.0578 acre portion of drainage right-of-way, legally described as a portion of Lot 1A, Block 1, Desert Aire Park Replat A, City of El Paso, El Paso County, Texas and adjacent to Lot 4, Block 1, Desert Aire Park Replat A, City of El Paso, El Paso County, Texas.
 
  1. An Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to sign a Contract of Sale and a Special Warranty Deed conveying a 1.17 acre parcel of land being described as Lots 16 & 17 and Lots 23-28, Hill Terrace Addition, City Of El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, and any other documents necessary to complete the sale to ANVIA L.L.C.

PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 2014, FOR ITEMS 1-3
 
  1. An Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 017658 dated October 18, 2011 which granted a Special Privilege License to J.D. Abrams, LP for the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of a 115 linear foot subsurface HMAC TY C Temporary Water Line within portions of City right-of-way beneath George Orr Road between Ben Swain Drive and Highway Loop 375 (Cesar Chavez Highway) for a term of five years with one renewable five year term, thereby terminating the Special Privilege License.


PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 11, 2014, FOR ITEM 4
 
  1. An Ordinance changing the zoning of Lot 27, Block B, Pioneer Subdivision, 6550 Mohair Drive, City of El Paso, El Paso County, Texas from R-4/sp (Residential/special permit) to R-4 (Residential). The penalty is as provided for in Chapter 20.24 of the El Paso City Code. Applicant: The City of El Paso, Location: 6550 Mohair Drive PZRZ14-00045
 
  1. An Ordinance granting Special Permit No. PZST14-00022, to allow for Infill Development with reduced lot size and lot width on the property described as Lot 10, Block A, Patterson Subdivision, 133 Keeney Court, City of El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, Pursuant to Section 20.10.280 Infill Development of the El Paso City Code. The penalty being as provided for in Chapter 20.24 of the El Paso City Code. Subject Property: 133 Keeney Court. Property Owner: Edge Construction. PZST14-00022


PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 18, 2014, FOR ITEMS 5-6


Public Hearings will be held as part of the regular City Council meeting which begins at approximately 8:00 a.m.  All interested persons present shall have an opportunity to be heard at that time.  After the public hearings, Council may also delay taking action on Ordinances; no requirement is made by Section 3.9B of the El Paso City Charter to publish any further notice.  Copies of all Ordinances are available for review in the City Clerk’s office, 300 N. Campbell Street, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
