Export Forum 2014 in El Paso, TX is a unique opportunity for leading OEMs in Mexico and potential suppliers to meet and identify new business partners. At the same time, through forum sessions learned about how Foreign Trade Zones help improve global manufacturing and streamline the supply chain dynamics for Mexican maquiladoras.

Forum Sessions
Industry experts on US & Mexico trade made presentations during the event to help newcomers and experienced executives shape their business, trade and manufacturing strategies in El Paso.
  • Industry leaders spoke about the fascinating growth and the opportunities to participate in the booming automotive, aerospace and electronics industries value chains in Mexico.
  • Instruction was given on understanding how a Foreign Trade zones can help those that have not attained the Value Added Tax Certification.
  • And How Foreign Trade Zones work with Maquiladoras for ultimate cost savings.
B2B Meetings
Export Forum 2014 matched potential buyers and suppliers in pre-arranged, one-to-one, private meetings. The program allowed participants to identify new potential business partners and request meetings based on their choices.
  • OEMs had a B2B location at the event and suppliers met with them in 15 minute intervals. This format made it very efficient for OEMs and suppliers to come together, network and make new business connections.
Some quick facts:
  • Exports from El Paso were over $38 billion in 2013.
  • High value electronic goods, electronic parts, and auto parts were highest in volume for exports and imports for 2013
  • El Paso's Foreign Trade Zone did business with over 40 countries last year.
The Export Forum 2014 was led by international trade policy experts, government and business leaders, and officials from various trade support organizations.
