El Paso Animal Services is composed of a committed team of animal care professionals who strive to maintain the health, safety and welfare of the public and pets in the El Paso community and surrounding municipalities. Our field officers enforce animal control laws, educate the public about responsible pet ownership, and provide care and comfort to abandoned and stray pets. Services Include:
About Our Field officers:
Our officers are on duty in shifts. We cover the city 24/7.
Officers are dispatched to calls by calls from the citizens of the city and jurisdictions we serve.
Officers investigate:

Animal cruelty - with & for El Paso Police Department

Ordinance violations - Title Seven

State law violations - Texas Health & Safety Code
Officers carry out Health and Safety practices for the State Zoonosis Control:

Overpopulation of animals in unhealthy situations

Rabies suspected animals seen in public

Injured animals that could pose health problems

Officers duties at the facility:

Impoundment of stray animals picked up in the community

Posting of possible adoptable animals that they impound

Capture and care of dangerous animals within the community

Education of the public on the articles of enforcement at appropriate times

Scanning of animals impounded for possible microchip discovery and hopeful return to the owner

Handling of dangerous animals brought in to the facility
Officers duties out of the facility:

Restraint of stray animals while scanned for possible microchip to identify the animals owner

Removal of dangerous animals from public / community property

Discovery of potential dangerous zoonotic situations with removal from the public

Enforcement of City ordinances / codes / zoonotic needs for disease prevention

Education of infractions found in the public
Reclaiming Lost Animals
Mon. through Fri. from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sat. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sun. from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The public can view for lost animals and possible adoptions on a 24-7 schedule in the A, B, and C kennels which are located on the eastside of the main office area.
