On Monday, April 25, 2011, TVP Non-Profit Corporation, along with Representative Susie Byrd`s staff and the Department of Community and Human Development, hosted a ribbon cutting for the newly constructed rental housing units located in the City of El Paso designated revitalization area - Lower Dyer.
These new units provide safe, decent and affordable rental housing for low-income families in the Lower Dyer area.
The Community Housing Development Organization project utilized HOME funds in the amount of $746,730 to complete this project.
The project consists of:
4-3 bedroom, 2-bath units built at 3830 Johnson (1,250 sq. ft.)
2-3 bedroom, 2-bath units built at 3330 Lincoln (1,250 sq. ft.)
Amenities include: refrigerators, gas ranges, and gas water heaters, The units incorporate evaporative air conditioning, low-flow water system (toilet and showers), double-pane windows, additional insulation and energy star appliance.
