Thank you for Reading this week's Special newsletter with updates on Important Issues and Events!

Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Happiness Senior Center, 563 N. Carolina Dr.

The City of El Paso's Engineering and Construction Management Department will conduct a public meeting

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss proposals for the reconstruction of the Carolina Bridge. The project includes demolition of the existing bridge and construction of a new one which will consist of two 11-foot lanes (one in each direction), 5-and-a-half foot wide sidewalks in each direction, turn lanes and intersections, and a striped median.

The project does not require the acquisition of any new right-of-way.

All interested citizens are invited to attend this meeting to express their views, and discuss the project with City of El Paso representatives. Real-time English-to-Spanish interpretation services will be provided.

Those interested in attending the meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact the department's public affairs coordinator at (915) 212-1848 at least two days prior to the meeting. The City of El Paso will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs.

This is an open house style public meeting, meaning no formal presentation will be given. The come-and-go format will give members of the public a chance to examine plans and talk directly to project managers and representatives from involved agencies and city departments. City staff will receive and record comments from the public.
