- In the first four months of construction, ZERO lost time injuries have been reported by workers at the construction site. Crews have finished the post-demolition clean-up. They have also completed construction of the retaining wall running along Missouri Avenue and Durango Street.
- Local labor and talent are building our community’s ballpark. On average, 130 construction workers are on-site. Of them, well more than half are employed by local firms. That percentage is going to increase as construction revs up. Eleven local firms are involved in the design of the ballpark.
- Now, work turns to building the foundation on which the ballpark will sit. Construction and installation of the nearly 570 piles needed to stabilize the foundation are on schedule to be finished in early July. More than 560 piles have already been set.
- The community will start seeing appreciable progress later this summer. The steel framework of the ballpark will begin to take shape by late July.
